Principles governing the collection of personal data
Access to the information available on the site does not require the provision of personal data, such as name, postal address, e-mail address, etc.
Exceptionally, in order to obtain additional services (ordering documents, subscribing to a newsletter, asking questions by email or via 1718/1719, etc.), the user may be asked for personal information, mainly contact details. The same applies when you ask us a question via our online contact form. In this case, the user is notified in advance, and the data is processed in accordance with the regulations on the protection of personal data (GDPR).
In concrete terms, this means that:
- your personal data may only be collected and processed in accordance with the purposes indicated at the time of collection;
- you have the right to check whether your data are processed by SPW by following this procedure;
- You will have the right to consult your personal data, if necessary, in order to check their accuracy and to have any errors corrected by the person responsible for processing your data, whose contact details are above;
- The SPW undertakes to implement the best possible security measures to prevent third parties from misusing the personal data that you have provided.
Use of browsing information for statistical purposes
When you access the site, the consulted servers automatically collect the following data:
- the IP address assigned to you when you log on;
- date and time of access to the site;
- the pages consulted;
- the type of browser used;
- the platform and/or operating system installed on the PC;
- the search engine and the keywords used to find the portal site;
- the downloaded files.
This information is kept solely for the purpose of measuring the number of visitors to the various sections of the postal site and making improvements. The reports that we now draw up only contain anonymised data, while the data collected is destroyed.
The use of cookies
In order to facilitate your navigation on the site (to save your preferences or to avoid you having to repeat the same entries upon each visit) and to optimise the technical management of the site, the SPW may occasionally use "cookies", usually for the duration of one visit.
A "cookie" is a small piece of information stored by a website on your computer's Internet browser. This cookie can be retrieved during a subsequent visit to the same site. The cookie cannot be read by a website other than the one that created it.

Contact for personal data protection
A data protection representative has been appointed to advise the SPW on the rules in terms of personal data protection and ensure compliance with these.
They are also the point of contact between users of the SPW and the Data Protection Authority.
