The digital transition is now a priority for both public and private organisations. An essential lever for development and innovation, digital technology also has an impact on the environment and society.
The Digital Lab invites you to its next evening debate, to be held on 16 April at 6pm on the HEC Liège campus.
Faced with the negative effects of increasing digitisation (pollution, exponential energy consumption, production of greenhouse gases, reproduction of the discrimination already present in our societies, and digital divides), “responsible digital” has for some years been bringing together various solutions to reconcile ecological, ethical and inclusive procedures with the digital transition.
At a time when generative AI is becoming widespread in both private and professional applications, how can we reconcile competitiveness, digital sobriety and social responsibility within organisations? Developing a responsible approach to digital technology and AI is now inseparable from a CSR policy. But how can we measure the environmental impact of digital technology? And what are the levers for action and regulations in force to make digital a driver of sustainable and resilient transition, and even a vector for equity, diversity and inclusion?
This evening debate will bring together experts to address the dual challenge facing organisations: accelerating their digital transition while respecting the 3 pillars of responsible digital: People, Planet, Prosperity.
