Wallonia not only supports your planting projects, but also local nurseries! You may be eligible for free plants under the Yes We Plant programme.
Are you eligible?
If you have a hedge planting project that requires between 500 and 8,000 plants, you can apply to receive a free batch of plants. Each order will include a mix of at least 6 native species. Although it may be possible to avoid certain species depending on local soil, climate or health conditions, the final selection of species will be made by the Walloon Public Service.
How to apply
- Read and sign the best practices charteron the use of the plants, which must be attached to the electronic form.
- Submit your plant application using this form (you'll need a "gmail" address). The process for obtaining plants is designed to be as simple as possible. All you have to do is sign the charter.
- You will be invited to collect your order on the date and at the collection point selected in the form. These four locations are spread across the provinces of Liège, Hainaut, Luxembourg and Namur. (Delivery will take place between November 2024 and February 2025)
Additional support
While the plants are distributed for free, no additional subsidies are available for the planting process. However, it is possible to seek assistance from volunteers through Coplantons.be. The Yes We Plant hedge consultants can also provide you with expert advice and answer your technical questions, etc...
