Prospective Urbaine: the tool for rejuvenating your city centre

The Prospective Urbaine tool assesses the attractiveness and performance of your city centre and then proposes several potential solutions to boost the energy in the centre of your city.

What is Prospective Urbaine? 

Prospective Urbaine is a Walloon tool that brings together a host of data and analyses, enabling you to measure several aspects of your city centre, including: 

  • commercial activity 
  • mobility
  • security
  • cleanliness
  • events

Who can access it? 

Only municipalities that have a city centre development agency recognised by Wallonia can access the tool.  

There are currently 13 municipalities with a city centre development agency:  

  • Arlon 
  • Charleroi
  • Châtelet
  • Dour
  • Hannut
  • La Louvière 
  • Liège
  • Louvain-La-Neuve
  • Mons
  • Mouscron
  • Namur
  • Tournai
  • Verviers

Why use the tool? 

The data from the study can be used to identify tailor-made courses of action to boost activity in your city centre. You can use these data for promotional aims or share them with third parties. 

What data is collected? 

We are currently conducting surveys among shoppers and shopkeepers.
